Exchange Christchurch (XCHC)

Established in 2014 by a team of architects & creatives in the post-quake context.

This multi-use space was designed to provide an affordable space for creatives to develop their practice, brands, and sustainable careers.
Creating a space with 3 mutually supportive production, showcase, and hospitality spaces meant the creative communities could overlap with the general public and Exchange ideas and feedback in an organic way.

Post-industrial and heritage buildings are unique and have historically been social and work spaces for creatives, particularly ones who need to spread out and make a mess. We embrace this real part of the creative process that should be catered to.
